Points are accumulated through participation in slams from Aug. 2011 to April 2012Poets accumulate points fort the Team Slam off in Spring 2012 by slamming at Poetry & Beer (January thru April only), Smokin' Slam in Rio Rancho, MASPoetry and Final Friday slam only.

The point break down is:
20 points -- 1st place
10 points -- 2nd place
5 points -- 3rd place
1 point -- participating in a slam, hosting or sacrificing.
Poets get no points for participating in open-mics.

ABQWOW Women's Championship qualifying
•    The top three female poets will receive qualifying points during slams in the the months of September, October and November (and Final Friday in August -- the official start to the slam season)
•    The female poets do not have to finish in the top 3 to get points. Rather points will be given according to rank in the individual slam:-- 10 for top female poet, 5 for the next highest ranked, 1 point for all others.-- Female poets who finish in the top 3 will get bonus points (10 for 1st, 5 for 2nd & 3rd).
